There are several competitive advantages of Tiram Travel Sdn Bhd such as:

a) The Affordable Package Price.

            Price is one of the major key factors for successful business. The industry that can provide a high-quality product or service at a reasonable price can achieve competitive advantage over their competitor. When company can provide the same value as its competitors but at lower price, it will become one of their competitive advantages.

            Tiram Travel offered the affordable umrah package price for all range of people. So that many people from the lower and middle income group can perform umrah without spending much money. Tiram Travel always tries their best to provide the excellent service for their customer even though their price packages are relatively inexpensive compared to other travel companies.

            Umrah package that was offered by Tiram Travel is economic umrah packages. Usually, the price for that package was starting from RM 4000++. Economic umrah packages which always been chosen by customer is Hilton package. This is because Tiram Travel offer lower price for the short distance hotel. Hilton hotel is only 50 meter from Masjidil Haram. For example, Hilton Package for December (school holiday month) only RM6690 and the flight depart from Penang.

b) Offer Flight Depart from Penang.

            The other competitive advantage of Tiram Travel is flight depart from Penang to Jeddah. Tiram Travel has collaborated with the regional subsidiary of Singapore airline which is SilkAir to provide the flight depart from Penang International Airport. The target market for this package is north region customers. Most of north region customers will chose this package because it easy for them to go to airport. Besides that, the package price for this package not much difference with the flight package departs from Kuala Lumpur. The difference price between those packages is only RM100 ++. So, a customer’s especially from the north region can save their cost and their time.

c) Held Umrah Course for Free.

            The umrah course that was conduct by Tiram Travel is free of charge and open to all people. Tiram Travel will conduct umrah course once in a month as the preparation for their customer before departure to Makkah. Umrah course is intended to provide guidance especially to Tiram Travel pilgrims. So that, the Tiram Travel pilgrims can practice the knowledge that they have learned during perform their umrah. The speakers for umrah course also have a good knowledge to give guidance before Tiram Travel pilgrims perform their umrah.

d) Excellent Mutawwif Service.

            Mutawwif or adviser Umrah is an important individual who helped the pilgrims perform the worship in the Tanah Suci perfectly. Tiram Travel will provide one mutawwif for each group of their pilgrims group. Mutawwif of Tiram Travel will guide the pilgrims from zero to hero (about umrah matter). Tiram Travel also provide mutawwif with excellent experience and very responsible.
